As registered providers within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), Enhanced Living has been providing quality services since 2017 for out of region NDIS participants and more recently, to locals of the Sunshine Coast. We also host many people on NDIS funding plans who come and engage with us for Intensive Therapy on one of our Theraholidays. Private Health Insurance

If you have private health insurance you may be eligible for a rebate from your Health Insurer. Each health fund varies with respect to the rebate they provide. You may wish to check with your health fund before making an appointment in order to determine whether you are covered for our services and to what level. It is not possible to use both Medicare and private health rebates for the same session.

Medicare

** A bulk billed service is available for some clients **

There are a range of Medicare rebates available to children and adolescents. It is best to speak with your GP or paediatrician in order to determine your eligibility. The following outlines the different plans available from Medicare:

1. Chronic Disease Management Plan

The CDM plan, formally known as an Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC) is managed by your GP and available to children and adults with chronic care needs. This plan provides a Medicare rebate on up to 5 sessions of allied health therapy per calendar year.

2. Better Access to Mental Health Care

If you believe you are experiencing mental health difficulties, such as depression, anxiety, alcohol or other drugs misuse, or adjustment difficulties; you might wish to talk to your doctor about the possibility of getting a Mental Health Care Plan. Under the Better Access initiative, eligible people can receive up to 10 individual and/or group therapy Medicare rebated sessions in a calendar year.

Please Note: In order to utilise these care plans, you must provide your referral plan from your GP or paediatrician prior to the session on which you wish to claim. Rebateable sessions can only be provided after the date of the referral.

Department of Veterans Affairs

It is an honour to assist the health and wellbeing of the ADF community. We strive to create an environment for veterans that not only assists your physical benefits through gym based clinical treatment programs but also a social environment from like minded peers to share the journey of wellbeing. Start your health and wellbeing journey and see if you are eligible for services.

For ex-servicemen, we can offer gym-based programs through our Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists as well as case management and mental health support with our Occupational Therapy team.

WorkCover

Enhanced Living has been delivering return to work and injury management services under WorkCover since our inception. We strive to achieve your return to work capacity as safely and efficiently as possible and boast a high return to work rate with our clients. We believe you should recover capacity suitable for usual duties and progress from light activation and stretching exercises to strength and conditioning in a gym-based environment.

Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology are a recognised return to work pathway within WorkCover and other third party insurers. We can liaise with your case manager to implement work conditioning programs to maximise your work capacity during your recovery. Our locations include gym and hydrotherapy treatment to facilitate strength, endurance and pain management.

Our Occupational Therapists specialise in hand trauma and upper limb therapy and are involved within days of injury by referral straight from your specialist. They will assist in early wound and inflammation management to ensure your recovery is optimised and will then link with the Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology team to continue your recovery back to work.

Accessing Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology is simple under WorkCover with an initial session requiring a current Medical certificate. We will then work with your Case Manager and medical team such as your Specialist and General Practitioner to ensure you are supported in your recovery to full work capacity. Options and programs are dependent on initial assessment and collaboration with your other health providers and case manager. Included under WorkCover may be Hydrotherapy and hydropool, gym sessions and gym membership, work conditioning programs and home exercise programs including myofascial release and stretching programs.

National Injury Insurance Scheme Queensland (NIISQ)

The National Injury Insurance Scheme, Queensland (NIISQ) is a no-fault scheme that provides necessary and reasonable lifetime treatment, care and support to those who sustain eligible serious personal injuries in a motor vehicle accident in Queensland, on or after 1 July 2016.

The National Injury Insurance Agency, Queensland (NIISQ Agency) is responsible for NIISQ. Accidents covered include permanent spinal cord injuries; traumatic brain injuries; multiple or high-level limb amputations and permanent injury to the brachial plexus. There is no one-size-fits-all approach under the National Injury Insurance Scheme, Queensland (NIISQ) as serious personal injuries affect everyone differently and needs can change over time. That’s why treatment, care and support will be tailored to the individual, taking into consideration their unique and personal circumstances, and their goals.

Enhanced Living and our facility is already registered with NIISQ so we can discuss potential treatment plans with your case manager and leave appointment times free each week to fit in emergency initial assessments.
