Emma Horvat

Passionate and driven Accredited Exercise Physiologist who has extensive knowledge and experience within all phases of rehabilitation.

Emma has always been involved in sports while growing up in a small, country town. Being rural, Emma really got to see first hand what it can be like to be without health care professionals, and soon realised that she wanted to be a part of the health world.

Emma is outgoing, kind and known to be easy to talk too! Being able to collaborate with individuals as an Exercise physiologist is both extremely inspiring and motivating for Emma, and is something she experiences everyday when working within neurological rehabilitation.

Being able to make positive changes to lives, whether it be big or small, is something she strives to achieve. Emma believes that the human body is amazing, and continues to learn more and more about it each day.

Emma completed her undergraduate degree of Sports and Exercise Science at James Cook University in Townsville, and soon after realised she wanted to further her studies. Emma then completed her Master in Clinical Exercise Physiology. Through Emma’s education, she has the skills and knowledge to deliver evidence-based exercise interventions to individuals with an array of pathologies, including: Neurological, Cardiovascular, Pulmonary, Musculoskeletal & Mental health. Emma has a particular interest in paediatrics, as working with children is something Emma is very familiar and involved with. The incorporation of Exercise physiology and pediatrics is something Emma wants to encourage to grow, and believes it is important for improving the quality of life for children.
